Every May and November Griffelkunst presents the seasonal exhibition to its members in its headquarter Oberaltenallee 78 in Hamburg. The exhibition is also shown in 84 other venues all over Germany where members can meet and pick their new choices from about 40 different works as well as collect the prints they had signed up for the previous season.
Our volunteer workers organize the twice yearly Griffelkunst exhibition in museums, schools, congregation halls, private homes and other venues in the following 84 different cities and local areas in Germany.
During the May and November events we also show a cabinet exhibition, meaning a small selection of works by one artist who is usually linked to Griffelkunst and its program me. In general these exhibitions are documented in our series “Portfolio” which is published regularly since 2011.
A selection of exhibitions curated in irregular intervals by Griffelkunst in other venues:
The first Griffelkunst chairman Erich Arp (1910 - 1999) initiated a Graphic Arts Prize for which an artist may be selected by the Griffelkunst Jury. The prize has been awarded in irregular intervals since 1989.
